On 1 October 2025, the world lost Jane Goodall (aged 91) — the pioneering primatologist, anthropologist, conservationist, and voice for the voiceless. Jane’s journey was never just about science. She became an activist, educator, and inspiration to millions. Why should the Nobel Prize recognise only the sciences and economics — and not the wider field of the humanities? Subjects like anthropology, philosophy, history, and literature shape our moral imagination and deepen humanity’s self-understanding just as profoundly as discoveries in physics or medicine.
