<description>Your article is indeed thought provoking. I know little about Chines Agriculture that I have read. They have a farm extension program, where the agricultural scientists who know the art of growing more more food, come and sit with the farmers as long as is needed and conduct the work of agriculture along with the farmers. They do not sit in their offices and send advices to the farmers, like what happens here.

The plight of our farmers are different. Over 65% are poor and marginal farmers whose land holdings are low an they are getting lower by the day, as the farmer's family grows. Small holdings are firstly not appropriate for economic production. Before that the farmer is in deep financial trouble and is not even able to grow food for his own consumption. So to tackle these problems it is necessary do think of some other steps that will improve his condition. Large holding farmers of-course have no problems at all and they are able to sustain the vocation very well.

Small and medium land holding farmers must be grouped to make a corporate body with experts in modern technology and conduct agriculture is a large scale to reap economies and make profits by using the farmers land. Only then these farmers can be bailed out of poverty and a strong healthy farmer can be seen around our country. Besides farming the corporate should also tackle the other areas of health care and education of all rural children who are roaming around without any guidance. Corporates can also take to dairy farming and produce dairy products. All these will add to the prosperity of the villages and we can have a robust India in the rural areas.

<description>[...] patrickmead.net wrote an interesting post today onHere&#8217;s a quick excerpt Almost more than double the size of food grains! What is the secret of the high Chinese farm production and productivity? We have so many experts and so many travellers to China. They must bring back some useful insights into the Chinese farming development strategy. It looks there is a heavily subsidised farming practice, there seems to large scale farms and also a great deal of large-scale operations, being procurement, logistics and the payment of subsidies.
